Store Brand Formula

I found out that both Walmart and Target store brand formula are made in the exact same factory. Both are supposed to be just like Enfamil. If you use these formulas, call the number below every month to get coupons for either/both stores. I'd get these brands on days that I didn't have a name brand formula check to use, they're much cheaper and Caleb never noticed.

Oh how has a coupon queen like me missed the savings oasis that is Giant Eagle? They double all coupons, even printables up to 99 cents. Have a Q for a dollar or more? No problem, any Q from $1 to $1.99 automatically is $2 off! I bought soooo much today and paid only $33 after 4$37 in total coupon savings. Also, Cheerios are $2, Yoplait is 50 cents, and Progresso is $1.25. All have Q's roaming around, some on Pillsbury.com. If you spend $20 BEFORE Q's on these 3 products, you get a voucher for $10 off your next shopping trip. And rumor is that if you take your $10 voucher, go back and buy another $20 on those three products with more Q's AND the $10 voucher you pay next to nothing and get ANOTHER $10 voucher. Just grab the slip that hangs off of the shelf and the cashier will take care of the rest. Pampers and Huggies are on sale for $7.99. They are good for approx. 6 weeks. That way when the prices go up and you're out of diapers you can just whip out your raincheck (and hopefully use a coupon too)!

OK, this is not so much a sale post as much as it is a testament of how much coupons save. I went to Target today with a specific list and coupons. Note, I am an honest couponer. I don't photo copy internet coupons ect. If I need extras I either have my mom print/clip them for me or in a pinch I turn to an online coupon service or Ebay as I did this week.

I bought:

20 boxes of Electrasol(sale)- (that's 400 tabs, 400 loads of dishes!)
4 boxes of Excedrin(sale)
5 cases of Pepsi(sale)
2 bags of Doritos(sale)
1 Big Value Box of Nature Valley Bars(clearance)
1 Big Value case of Charmin (clearance)
1 bottle of Archer Farm Iced Tea (clearance)

Total BEFORE coupons: $98.79
Out of pocket AFTER coupons: $27.43

Always clip coupons, even if you think you don't use them. I never use the Electrasol tabs, but for $0.41 a box I made the switch! **I did pay 4.42 after shipping for the 20 Electrasol coupons from Ebay. It was well worth the savings, I got $45 worth of coupons.

A great article. If you have nosey relatives like me who constantly ask "when are you going back to work" like me, please pass the article along. I finally told my dad that I will get back to work eventually but until then if he's so concerned about it than he can pay the $40 a day to the babysitter. As a substitute teacher, my dailoy pay in Michigan is $75 a day. Subtract $5 for a round-trip of gas. Subtract $40 for child care for one toddler. Subtract a couple more dollars for either a fast-food lunch or other convience foods. I'd be left with about $25 dollars. Tell me, is $25 dollars worth the headache? To worry about whether he's catching too many germs from other kids there and whether he'd get too attached to a stranger? Or to come home from a 10 hour day to then continue caring for baby, cleaning, and cooking? I am not sure that $125 a week is worth having a full-time job. And on marches the eternal guilt...
